Project 01 - People Watching at Winchester Cathedral
Download PDF: Ge Linling_project01.pdfThrough this observation at Winchester Cathedral, I realized the charm of public spaces lies in their ability to naturally connect people. At different times, users' behaviors and emotions changed noticeably: the liveliness of the afternoon contrasted with the tranquility of the evening. The laughter of children, interactions between dog owners and their pets, and conversations among tourists highlighted how these spaces are more than functional—they carry warmth and connections between people. This experience made me reflect on how design can better respond to people's needs and make spaces truly become a part of their lives.
