What this work wants to express is: with a controlled viewing and interaction, it loosens the prejudice that ‘virtual love is not the same as escaping from the reality of failure’, and conveys to the audience the theory that ‘it is an active choice for a higher emotional quality’. The dual-layered design (reality + hand-drawn framing) and gesture interaction allows subjectivity to be felt directly by the viewer, rather than just as a thin concept or theory.

The most important takeaway from the creation is that experience is more persuasive than debate. When the viewer tries to experience the scheduling screen for themselves, the sense of control becomes the design argument itself. The visual symbols used in the hand-drawn stop-motion animation prevent the video from being treated as a simple discussion of labelled feminist design, and keep the discussion on an emotional level, avoiding the gender antagonism caused by excessive output of emotions.

All in all, the experimental video I designed replaces the interpretation of ‘prejudice’ with ‘control’ that can be experienced. This is the experience and feeling I want to bring to others with my work.
